Our client a major contractor are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee the delivery of a £80 million laboratory project located in Central London. This high-profile venture will involve the construction and fit-out of state-of-the-art research and laboratory facilities designed to support innovation and cutting-edge scientific work. As Senior Project Manager, you will play a key role in driving this exciting project to successful completion, ensuring it meets both client expectations and regulatory requirements.

Role Overview:
As Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, management, and execution of the project. Your role will encompass everything from early-stage planning and coordination through to the delivery of the project within scope, time, and budget. You will work closely with architects, engineers, sub-contractors, and key stakeholders to deliver the laboratory facility to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of the £80 million laboratory project, ensuring successful delivery on time, within budget, and to quality specifications.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, contracts, and procurement processes to ensure smooth operation and adherence to project timelines.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory authorities to manage expectations and ensure compliance with all regulations and safety standards.
• Implement and monitor risk management strategies, identifying potential issues and mitigating risks proactively.
• Ensure that all project documentation is maintained, up to date, and in line with company and legal standards.
• Manage project teams, providing leadership and direction to ensure all parties work collaboratively toward a common goal.
• Regularly report on project progress, performance, and financial status to senior stakeholders.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager within the construction or laboratory sector, ideally with experience in large-scale, high-budget projects (£50M+).
• Strong understanding of laboratory design, construction, and fit-out requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary teams and multiple stakeholders effectively.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Strong project management tools knowledge and ability to manage detailed project schedules and budgets.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
