Overview:

As a Bid Writer, you will be responsible for producing compelling, high-quality submissions for new build projects in the residential and education sectors. You will work closely with the pre-construction and business development teams to develop tailored responses to bids, tenders, and proposals, ensuring that each submission reflects their values, experience, and expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bid Writing: Create engaging and persuasive content for PQQs, ITTs, and tender submissions, tailoring responses to meet client requirements and showcase their strengths.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including estimators, project managers, and senior leadership, to gather information and develop winning bids.
  • Content Development: Build and maintain a library of bid content, ensuring it is regularly updated with project case studies, technical information, and relevant experience.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all bid submissions are completed to the highest standard, are compliant with client specifications, and are delivered within deadlines.
  • Bid Strategy: Assist in developing bid strategies that align with the company's objectives and target markets, focusing on differentiators that set them apart from competitors.
  • Client Engagement: Work closely with the business development team to understand client needs and tailor responses to specific projects and sectors.
  • Review and Edit: Proofread and edit all submission content, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with the company’s branding.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in Bid Writing for the construction industry, ideally with exposure to the residential and education sectors.
  • Strong understanding of the construction tendering process.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills with an eye for detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously and work to tight deadlines.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and bid management software/tools.
  • Knowledge of construction processes and terminology is essential.

Salary:

Negotiable Salary + car / allowance + benefits package
