Job Description:
As a Contracts and Claims Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all contract-related activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal standards. You will manage claims efficiently, mitigate risks, and support our projects' successful delivery. Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and resolve claims and disputes (up and down stream), coordinating with legal teams and external stakeholders.
- Develop and implement effective contract management processes and procedures.
- Monitor contract performance, ensuring all parties adhere to agreed terms and conditions.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize contractual risks.
- Collaborate with project managers, legal advisors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract documentation and records.
- Provide guidance and training to team members on contract management and claims handling.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, legal developments, and best practices in contract management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Law or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in contracts management and claims working for developers / main contractors / consultants.
- In-depth knowledge of contract law, construction law, and relevant regulations.
- Proven experience in managing complex contracts and resolving high-value claims.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Fluency in English is required.
