We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Manager to join an international environmental solutions company in Bahrain. As part of our growing team, the Commercial Manager will play a critical role in driving business growth, enhancing profitability, and ensuring the success of commercial and contractual activities.
Role Overview:
As a Commercial Manager, you will lead the development and execution of business strategies, manage key client relationships, and ensure the alignment of commercial activities with the company’s financial goals. Your responsibilities will include business development, contract management, financial oversight, and risk mitigation, with the goal of ensuring sustainable growth in the Middle East market.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Development & Strategy:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the Middle East region to drive revenue growth.
- Formulate strategies to increase market share, sales, and profitability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners to secure contracts.
2. Contract Management:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Ensure all contracts comply with the company's financial objectives and legal standards.
- Oversee contract performance, renewals, and terminations as necessary.
3. Financial Management:
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for commercial operations.
- Analyze cost structures and profitability to optimize business performance.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop pricing strategies and ensure cost control.
4. Risk Management:
- Assess and mitigate commercial risks, including market volatility, customer defaults, and compliance issues.
- Implement risk mitigation strategies to safeguard the company’s financial and operational interests.
5. Client and Stakeholder Management:
- Foster strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the company and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment on business objectives.
6. Market Analysis & Research:
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, competitive strategies, and emerging customer needs.
- Use market insights to refine commercial strategies and maintain competitiveness.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Ideally a degree in engineering, with an additional degree in business administration and a Diploma in Environmental Science.
- Experience: Several years of experience in commercial management, business development, and contract management within relevant sectors (environmental solutions, waste management etc.).
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret financial data and market trends.
- Negotiation Skills: Proven track record in contract negotiations and managing client relationships.
- Leadership: Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
